Q What are the benefits of participating in the Coalition?
A The Coalition recognizes that where there are common strategic issues, First Nations may be stronger working together. To date there have been 50 First Nations who have participated in the group. The meetings have been inclusive—both elected and hereditary chiefs have participated in discussions. The Coalition recognizes the independence of First Nations to make their own decisions.
Q Does participating in the Coalition cost me anything and do I give up anything?
A There are no costs to join or participate in the Coalition. The Coalition respects the decision-making authority of First Nations. First Nations are free to join or leave the Coalition.
Q How can my First Nation join the Coalition?
A A First Nation can join the Coalition by providing a letter of support or a Band Council Resolution of support.
